  Question:

What is a Court Judgment?

Answer:

If a person or company owes you money and won't pay, you could file a claim against that person or company in the appropriate Court in your area. If you win your case against your debtor, the Court will issue a Judgment. A Judgment may also be called a Default Judgment, a Final Judgment, an Order, Payment Order, Default Order, Restitution Order, an Arbitration Order, Child Support or Maintenance Order, or a Spousal Support Order, etc.

A Court Judgment is an Order from a Court which states that a certain person or company (called the Judgment Debtor) must pay to another person or company (called the Judgment Creditor) a specific amount of money. When a Court Judgment is issued by a Court, the Court records the judgment on a paper document stamped by the Court. This paper document is proof that the Judgment Debtor does, in fact, owe the Judgment Creditor the amount of money ordered by the Court.

Question:

I have a Court Judgment which says that the Debtor is to pay me $2,765.09 but the Debtor has not paid me. I know that the Debtor was ordered by the Court to pay me, but he still didn't. Doesn't the Court make sure that the Debtor obeys the Court Order?

Answer:

The Courts do not enforce Court Judgments which are for money. You are left to recover the amount owed to you using whatever lawful means you can.

Question:

Is Prime Judicial Systems a collection agency?

Answer:

No. Prime Judicial Systems Inc. is a private company that invests in Court Judgments.

Question:

How much will you pay me for my Court Judgment?

Answer:

The situation with every Court Judgment is different. We would need to get a copy of the Judgment document from you and also information from you about the debtor. We will then make an assessment of the value of your judgment.

Question:

How much will it cost me to have your company assess the value of my Court Judgment?

Answer:

There is no cost to have us make an assessment of your Court Judgment.

Question:

How long does it take for you to assess the value of my Court Judgment?

Answer:

Usually we can get back to you with an offer within just a few days.

Question:

I have an Order from the Court that my spouse has to pay child support, but she is far behind in paying me. Do you buy that kind of Order?

Answer:

Yes, in some circumstances we do. We would need to get some details of the Court Order and make an assessment of your judgment (order).

Question:

I have an Order from the Court that my spouse is to pay me maintenance each month, but he won't pay me. Can you help me with this?

Answer:

In some cases we can. There again, we will need to see the details of the Court Order and your spouse's financial situation.

Question:

My Court Judgment is only for $1,083.07. Would you still be interested in buying it from me?

Answer:

We would need to get the details from you, but yes, we would probably be interested in buying your Judgment. Please complete our Judgment Information Form, and follow the instructions to tell us about your judgment.

Question:;

I have a judgment in the amount of $27,784.30. Do you buy judgments this large? or is there a limit on the judgment amount that you will buy?

Answer:

There is no limit to the dollar amount of a judgment that we will purchase if the judgment meets our criteria. We have purchased judgments that were for amounts over  $200,000,000.00.

Question:

How much do you pay for a judgment? Is there a certain percentage you pay?

Answer:

Each judgment is different. We need to complete our assessment process for each judgment that is submitted to us for possible purchase. This is why we ask that you complete our Judgment Information Form and our Debtor Information Form so we have some basic information about your judgment and the debtor(s) so we can begin our assessment.

Question:

We have a Judgment but it is dated almost 4 years ago. Is our Judgment still valid? And if it is still valid, would you be interested in buying it from us?

Answer:

Yes, your Judgment is still valid. We may be interested in buying it from you, but you must act quickly! Please allow us to assess the value of your Judgment. To start the assessment process, click the link below to fill-in our Judgment Information Form.
